Research interests and methods

My research focuses on the performance and evolution of natural plant populations under human-mediated changes to environmental stress regimes and their consequences for the dynamics of plant distribution ranges. To examine these effects, I use integrated methodical approaches, which combine inter-continental field studies, population genetic analyses, controlled breeding experiments, stress manipulation experiments, as well as untargeted metabolic fingerprinting and metabolite profiling.
